This is a genetic clotting disorder that can affect some Poodles and can lead to excessive bleeding in both make and female dogs. DNA testing is available.
There is no cure at present.
PHOSPHOFRUCTOKINASE DEFICIENCY DISORDER
This genetic disorder is caused by a missing enzyme which causes red blood cell and muscle abnormalities.
It can affect several breeds including the American Cocker Spaniel. There is DNA testing available but at the moment no sure for this disease.
