DO COCKAPOOS MOULT?
It is important to be aware that nearly ALL dogs moult to some degree and that includes Cockapoos. What some Cockapoos dont do though is shed their fur like other dogs do. Instead of dropping it all over your rug, the fur is trapped by the rest of the dogs coat and become matted knots unless groomed out.
This is why regular grooming is necessary for these dogs.
Because of the variety in coat of the Cockapoo - some will have straight coats, like in the photograph on the right, some really curly while others will be somewhere in between, the amount of moulting will vary, and some owners of the straighter coated variety may see fur lying on their floors, there is no guarantee just how much this may be until your pup has developed his adult coat, which happens around the age of 8 - 12 months.
